Each piece I create is a dialogue between material and memory. My mediums are steel, aluminum, and copper which are then patina-ed, resulting in unexpected outcomes. I am inexplicably drawn to the dichotomy between the hard surfaces of my materials and the softness of flower petals, a motif seen throughout my work. My newest area of exploration is the use of tiny, painted words written in multiple languages. Worldwide, humans are immersed in language every day from reading to writing to speaking to listening. In this daily flood of words “I Love You” and “Thank You” are the two most important messages to express
