Ceramics

Though I am a professional musician, I started doing pottery more than 2 years ago. My mother was a professional potter, so I was around pottery and Art creation most of my life. I am lucky to have a small studio in my house, where I focus on wheel throwing. I have an electric kiln in the garage, and a Raku kiln and a pit in the back yard. I learn a huge amount from my teachers here in Austin, particularly Robin Gary. I like to try lots of different things, from bowls with chattering and sodium silicate, to cups and vases with several types of texturing, to wild Obvara Raku pots, to Pit firing with various chemicals.
