Andrea Santarlasci is a ceramic artist based in Austin, Texas whose work is rooted in her deep love of cooking and plants. Her colorful, functional pottery—from citrus juicers and incense holders to mugs and planters—is designed to add warmth and creativity to everyday rituals. Whether she’s working on the wheel or hand-building, Andrea draws inspiration from the joy of nurturing a home, feeding others, and surrounding herself with living things. Many of her most beloved pieces began as “mistakes”—a lopsided bowl or a collapsed form that, rather than being discarded, became the starting point for something more playful, more expressive, and ultimately more balanced. This improvisational spirit defines her work: a belief that beauty often reveals itself when we embrace the unexpected.
