Painting (landscape, portrait, still life)
Sam started painting with water colors in the '80s and with acrylics in the '90s. For the past 15 years, he has been primarily painting with oil. Sam paints en plein air as well as studio work. When he is not painting, he spends time studying other artists' works, past and present and tries to enhance and broaden his interpretation of reality. Sam's moto, as he says, "I have to learn something new every day". Sam graduated from the University of Texas and, like most artists, worked for many years in other professions to support his family and the love for Art. The love and passion for painting have always stayed an integral part of his life. For him, painting means communication, emotionally conveying a message and capturing a few special moments in time.
