Using amusing creatures while incorporating form, texture, movement, and color to capture attention, I hope to captivate and inspire interpretations in the viewer based on their own personal filters of varying life experiences. Being an educator and working with children for many years has had a great impact on the way I think and the work I create. Inspired by fables, allegory, and aphorisms, I aim to let my work spark a similar response. Maybe there is a lesson to be taught, maybe there is a memory to be reflected upon, maybe the story is just for fun.
